Motorola Edge 70 5G Leaks: Motorola next midrange smartphone the Edge 70, has been leaked in renders showing just how slim it might be. The images also reveal two attractive hues hinting at what the official release could look like.
Motorola Edge 70 5G leaks : fresh renders and color option
The leaked images first shared by YTECHB, showcase the Edge 70 in Gadget Gray and Lily Pad colors. Rumors say there will also be a Bronze Green variant, which may match earlier promo images of this device.
Interestingly, the Lily Pad version resembles the model teased by Motorola in China (the Moto X70 Air) leading to speculation that the Edge 70 could be the global version of that device.
Motorola Edge 70 5G design
Unlike its predecessor (Edge 60), the renders suggest Motorola may move away from curved edges and displays. Instead, the Edge 70 appears to have a flat frame and flat screen with a punch hole camera design.
One unique detail: the camera module ring and the Moto AI button sport color accents that match the body. Also the top branding suggests the phone may include Dolby Atmos speaker support.
Motorola Edge 70 5G camera details
From what’s visible in the renders the ultra wide camera seems to pack a 50 MP sensor optical image stabilization (OIS), and a 120° field of view.
The sensor may employ pixel binning to achieve larger effective pixel sizes (around 2.0 µm) for better low light performance.
Motorola Edge 70 5G expected launch timing and position
Motorola has already rolled out Android 16 updates to some of its older devices so it is reasonable to expect the Edge 70 to launch with or soon receive Android 16 support.
Usually, Motorola releases new Edge series phones in spring. However, since the X70 Air has already been teased in China, the global Edge 70 may arrive sooner than expected.
In terms of market position the Edge 70 won’t be a direct competitor to flagship phones like the Galaxy S25 Edge or iPhone Air.
Instead, its goal seems to be bringing ultra thin design to a more affordable segment.
